Designed on an exclusive luxury estate on the north coast of kwa zulu natal, South Africa. The brief asked for distant sea views from the upper level and an expansive entertainment area on the ground floor. A private kitchen courtyard was included, housing a pizza oven and seating with greenery hanging to a pergola above. The pool was positioned on the Northern side of the property to maximize the sunlight and warmth. Extensive tropical planting screens neighboring properties whilst providing cooling through evapotranspiration. The upper level is fully protected from both a solar heat gain and privacy perspective through the inclusion of sliding horizontal timber screens.
